For some reason female pop stars love butterfly's- maybe because it implies rebirth and the pretty patterns and colors. I don't know, but this cover design was the chosen one amongst seven different designs. It wasn't my first choice but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Below are the alternative designs. I basically isolated her photo in adobe photoshop, polished them up, adjusted the colors, arranged design elements, swirls and motifs.
