Greetings world- it's been too long since my last blog post, I've had some life changing experiences keeping me busy, nonetheless, better late than never. Here's a postcard design I did for a group called - Partners In Ministry. They provide a valuable service to Christian churches by providing them with professional designs for their events and activities. I like their motto "A bold new way to proclaim the old rugged Cross". The client started by just giving me the concept of the postcard and I took and ran with it, the concept was so rich that there were several different art directions I could have taken. Ultimately I decided on this design, I incorporated some ancient lettering used by the earliest scribes. I also kept a natural color palette of brown and green because I felt it gave it a comforting feel that all can relate to. I made the letter "o" into a crown of thorns and placed a beam of light shooting through it (robust with metaphorical meaning). I also added a vintage illustration of a bible in the background and overlaid organic textures throughout to complete it. I'm pretty happy with this design- more coming soon.

Christian Church Postcard Graphic Design: Bible Art
Greetings world- it's been too long since my last blog post, I've had some life changing experiences keeping me busy, nonetheless, better late than never. Hands Tied Christian Rock- CD cover design
This design is for a christian rock band- the concept is that the hands are tied but are also creating a shadow puppet of a bird spreading it's wings- conveying the album title "escape". The hands are meant to be Jesus' Christ hands. The aged textures and colors really solidify the setting of this design.
This blue beast cover illustration was a second cover design option that was not chosen- I had this image in my head when i read the album title was escape- although it looks there is little chance the running man will escape this over grown cookie monster. I created the illustration using adobe photoshop and my digital wacom tablet pen. Rock and Roll Album CD Cover design- Heavy Metal CD design- Angel Statue Revised
Here is a revised version of the angel statue. The client wasn't convinced he wanted the model used on the first angel- he wanted something more "breastly"- so this is what I came up with- I'm pretty happy with it. I made this image using adobe photoshop, stacking layers upon layers of effects and filters.Rock and Roll CD cover art design, heavy metal cd designer, Pop Rock cd album design, Fernando Medina, Christian Art, Christian Design, Christian Rock, Graphic Design, Sci-Fi Art, Photoshop illustration, Illustration, Art, Cover Art, Album Art, CD Art, Aurora, IL Artist, Chicago Artist, Illinois Artist, Graphic Design 60505, Illustrator 60504, designer, cd design.

Christian Music CD Design- Graphic Designer: Christian Rock
The name of this album is "View from Hear", there's a play on words so I tried to do the same visually- the client and I went through various drafts before deciding on this design. The genre of music is Christian Rock, the goal was to not hit people over the head with Christian symbolism so I approached it with a neutral design first and then sprinkled subtle spirituality through out- Vuala. Below are a collection of stock photo's I used to create this piece.
Also below are other cover designs created for this project that didn't make the cut. They were all created using photoshop. As you can see they all use a similar color palette which was specified by the client- I think that they're all very nice but of course I have a bias. Greatness!
