South America Latin Pop Rock cd design

I created this cd cover design for a young latin pop rock band- located in South America. I had fun designing this one because they gave me a collection of adjectives describing their music/style and it was easy to bounce ideas of those descriptions. I used a combination of adobe photoshop and adobe InDeign CS3 to compose this piece.

Musica Latina diseño grafico de disco- diseñador grafico. Hey, that girls got a butterfly on her face. For some reason female pop stars love butterfly's- maybe because it implies rebirth and the pretty patterns and colors. I don't know, but this cover design was the chosen one amongst seven different designs. It wasn't my first choice but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Below are the alternative designs. I basically isolated her photo in adobe photoshop, polished them up, adjusted the colors, arranged design elements, swirls and motifs.Fortunately some of these cover designs where salvaged and reused in some way for the inside pages of the cd booklet design.
