Irish Dancing- Celtic CD package design

This Celtic cd design is for an Irish Dance Music group- as you can tell from the cover design they use both accordions and violins, this was a specific request by them- that these instruments be shown on the cover. I designed two different cd covers for this project- eventually the client settled on this cover- I then expanded the design theme on throughout the rest of the packaging (inside panels, traycard, and disc). I had several discussions with the client to focus in on exactly what kind of look they wanted for their album art- in a nutshell they wanted something that communicated the historical aspect of Irish dance music but also reflected a modern look that appealed to a younger audience- but not exclusively to a young demographic. As you can see the clients needs were dynamic and seemingly contradicting- this my friends is my job- to create a clients abstract ideas and thoughts into a visual presentation- they were very happy with the final design. I also created a promotional poster design for their project- which they have used to advertise the release of their new cd.

Fashion Poster Design- Aurora, IL and Chicago area Graphic Designer / Illustrator

I created this poster design for a fashion show that took place in Aurora, IL at the Walter Payton Roundhouse Complex in 2006. It's now 2009 but the design still looks fresh and holds up to today's design standards. As a graphic designer I enjoyed working on this project especially since the event was showcasing some t-shirt designs I created. I utilized digital software to created this poster design, which is common for fast turn print designs like this one. The event went very well and a good time was had by all. Chicago, IL.

I illustrated this christian rock cd cover design working closely with the musician, there was a lot of back and forth regarding the cd cover design to make sure it reflected his idea of what it should look like. Eventually the client was very happy with the finished product, I've recently started working on his second album titled "view from hear". The cover also contains a conceptual design. Christian rock cd cover design is a very versatile subject matter, styles can very from a very conservative and reserved design to a very dark, gloomy, and gritty cd design. The cover image illustrates Jesus Christ post crucifixion, he's dropped the crown of thorns, and three nails with which he was pierced with, and he's walking away from them, walking towards a sun rise that conveys the idea of a new day- that Jesus had changed everything from that point on.

Canadian rock cd cover design album package heavy metal

This is one of my favorite cd cover designs, I had this cover image in my head and I could vaguely visualize it- but I knew I really like the concept. So I started collecting images of woman's faces to compose this collage. The cd cover was the primary focus because then there after the rest of the packaging is based on the cover design, it basically sets the art direction of the remaining package design. This band I believe is from canada and have had great success with there cd release. This cd cover design came out better than I imagined- I suspect they'll be back for their second album release.

christian hip hop rap cd design cover

This Christian rap cd cover design was a labor of love, combining two loves of mine, my Christian faith, and hip hop music. A match made in heaven. The cd design for a U.S. based rap group started off as a pencil sketch in my drawing pad, I then began to add other elements such as text, textures, lettering, and a border. Christian rap music I believe is a music market that still has much growth potential- I believe that it will start to boom more and more in the future. The rap group is actually very talented and I encourage you all to go out and purchase this cd if you're into christian hiphop music or if you just want to have a cd package with a great design also.

AWOL Heavy Metal Rock CD Cover Design- Aurora, IL chicago

Heavy metal rock cd cover design. The concept of this was to create a semi morbid, mysteries, and gritty cover design. I started off by just showing the hands coming out of the fan blade but then later added the peering eye in the background. This cd cover went through quite a bit of changes, there was another cd cover design with a different style initially- but I worked closely with the art director to come up with this final design. This is a Canadian heavy metal rock band, I also did the rest of the package design, however I'll post those up later. CD Design is a fickle art, sometime a design will be a homerun and other times I think I have a great design and the client just doesn't like- it's a subjective thing this art.
